Your vault, built into your computer.

Unlock with Windows Hello on Windows. Press Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+Space over any app to find a login and copy it. Copied passwords are wiped after 30 seconds, screen sharing shows a blank window, and the vault locks when your computer sleeps. Shield warns you when you copy a password into another app and checks copied links for phishing.

Sign in with your browser. The app opens passkey-x.com in your browser, where your passkeys, company sign-in and security checks work. Approve the app there and you're back in seconds. Your vault password is only typed into the app.

Where fingerprint unlock works. Windows Hello on Windows 10/11 (Touch ID on Mac comes with the signed macOS build). Linux uses your vault password and keeps your session in the system keyring. Screen-capture blocking works on Windows and macOS.

Fill and save logins
right in your browser.

When you sign in to a website, Passkey-X offers to save the login. Choose Save, Not now, or Never for this site. Change a password and it offers to update the saved one. Nothing is saved without your approval.

How to install the preview
  1. Use Chrome or Edge 127 or later. Download and extract the package.
  2. Open chrome://extensions or edge://extensions, turn on Developer mode, and choose Load unpacked.
  3. Select the extracted folder, pin Passkey-X, and choose Connect securely.
  4. Sign in to the same account as your desktop or web app.
  5. Updating? Replace the extracted files, reload the extension, and reconnect if asked.

Add it in every browser and browser profile you use. Organizations can install it everywhere with Group Policy, Intune or an MDM profile.

Using the extension

  1. Pin Passkey-X to your toolbar and choose Connect securely.
  2. Sign in to a website. Review the save prompt and pick the vault to save to.
  3. To fill a saved login, open the extension on that website or press Alt+Shift+X.

If the save prompt doesn’t open, click the extension’s SAVE badge within two minutes. Passkey-X fills a login only on the exact site you saved it for.

About this download

A sideload preview with a temporary signing key. It is not on Google Play yet, and a later preview may need you to uninstall this one first.

Turn on autofill once.

  1. Download the APK on your Android phone and allow your browser to install this app if Android asks.
  2. Open Passkey-X Preview. Sign in and unlock your vault.
  3. Choose Enable Android autofill on Home, or App menu → Autofill settings. Select Passkey-X in Android Settings.
  4. In a compatible app, choose Unlock Passkey-X to choose a login. Select a login, then confirm the app that will receive it.
  5. When Android offers to save a login, tap Save, unlock Passkey-X and confirm the vault.

Pending logins expire after two minutes. Browser pages aren’t filled in this preview, and your vault needs an internet connection.

Good to know

Private by design. Your vault is decrypted only on your device. Pending logins stay in extension memory for at most two minutes.

One account on every device. Changes sync through your encrypted vault. The web and desktop vaults lock after five minutes without activity.

Which app do I need? The extension handles websites. Android fills passwords, passkeys and sign-in codes on your phone. Desktop adds quick search, keyboard access and Shield protection.
