Is this password generator safe to use?
Yes. Passwords are created in your browser with crypto.getRandomValues and never leave your device. Passkey-X doesn't receive, store or log them.
Is the password generator free?
Yes. It is free with no account and no limit. You need a free Passkey-X account only if you want to save and autofill the passwords you create.
How long should a password be?
For most accounts use at least 16 random characters, or a passphrase of 7 words or more. Use a different password for every account.
Password or passphrase: which should I use?
Use a random password for accounts your password manager fills for you. Use a passphrase when you have to type it, such as your vault password or a computer sign-in.
What does avoid look-alike characters do?
It leaves out characters that are easy to confuse when you read or type them, such as 0 and O or 1, l and I. Your password is a little shorter on entropy, so add a few characters.
