Autofill and autosave in desktop programs
The desktop app fills logins into any program (VPN, remote desktop, database tools, games) and offers to save new ones.
Steps
In the desktop app open Settings and turn on Autofill and autosave in programs.
Windows: when a program's password box gets the focus, Passkey-X offers Fill (types a saved login) or Save (keeps the new sign-in; you type the password once). Turn the offers off with Offer to fill or save when a program asks for a password.
Every system: click in the sign-in box and press the auto-type shortcut. Pick the login and Passkey-X types it into that same window.
Good to know
- Typing stops if you switch to another window.
- Choose Never type into web browsers if you use the browser extension for websites.
