Find any setting
One Settings page: every section in a grouped list with search, and All settings to start.
Steps
Open Settings with the gear at the top right (or press Ctrl K and type a section name, such as lock or add-ons). Settings opens on All settings; the search box beside the list finds any setting.
All settings starts with Quick settings (lock time, clipboard clearing and tab-switch lock on this device, and Travel mode), then every section as a card in its group.
Groups: You (Account, Security, Notifications), Vault (Vault & lock, Data, Site blocking), Look & layout (Appearance, Customize interface), Automation & apps (Automation, Signing, Apps & devices), Plan & billing (Plans & billing, Add-ons, Emails, Feature availability) and Close account.
Type in the search box beside the list (for example backup, theme or lock) and press Enter to open the first match.
Good to know
- Your organization can make lock settings stricter; then you see who manages them.
- Families and organizations: owners and admins find people, roles and policies in the Organization group of the sidebar.
